Dental Veneers are very thin acrylic or porcelain shells that are attached to the front part of teeth. They are designed to cover the surface of your teeth to improve their appearance.
Veneers are typically used to fix
- discolored teeth (whether it be from root canals, food stains, or excessive fluoride)
- worn down teeth
- chipped or broken teeth
- misaligned, uneven, or misshapen teeth
- gaps in between teeth
The process to get dental veneers begins with a diagnosis and treatment planning. Dr. Shah will examine your teeth and discuss which type would be right for you. Once a treatment plan is in place, she will then remove part of the enamel to make room for the veneers, then make a mold of the teeth to send to the lab. The veneers are custom made in the lab and are then attached to the teeth using a composite resin cement.
